Medina played his first professional match for Chivas on 8 August 2000 at just 17 years of age.
He possesses a blistering pace, great ball control and accuracy in his crosses and is an important part of the Chivas squad.
He has been called up to the national squad on numerous occasions since 2003. He was part of the squad at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004, the 2005 Confederations Cup in Germany and the 2007 Gold Cup.
