Korea Republic are now experienced World Cup entrants having been to each of the last six tournaments.

Their greatest moment was undoubtedly their fourth-place finish in 2002, the tournament they co-hosted with Japan, when the magic of Dutch coach Guus Hiddink saw them upset the global applecart.

A repeat performance is not out of the question, but they are not quite the potent outfit they were eight years ago.
