22 Yuji Nakazawa
Yuji Nakazawa left Japan in 1996 to play professional football with Brazilian outfit America Mineiro, although he failed to break into the first team and soon moved on to Verdy before returning to his home country to finally settle with Yokohama F Marinos in 2002.
Nakazawa was part of the AFC Asian Cup-winning team in 2000, although he was not considered for the 2002 World Cup finals.
However, in 2004 he returned to the national squad, again playing in the Asian Cup, scoring three goals, including a stoppage-time equaliser in the semi-final against Bahrain, as Japan went on to lift the title.
In 2010 he became only the third Japanese played to earn his 100th international cap.
