9 Shinji Okazaki
Shinji Okazaki began playing football at high school level with Takigawa Daini High School in 2002, and he signed his first professional contract three years later, joining Shimizu S-Pulse, where he has since played almost 100 matches scoring 29 goals.
Okazaki was part of the 2008 Olympic squad, and made his senior debut in October of that year in a friendly against the UAE.
He scored his first hat-trick for his country one year later against Hong Kong, and another treble just six days later against Togo. In January 2010 he was named the World's Top Goal Scorer by the IFFHS for his 15 goals with the national team during the year 2009.
