21 Eiji Kawashima
Eiji Kawashima began playing football with Urawa Higashi High School from 1998 to 2000 before breaking onto the professional stage with Omiya Ardija in 2001. After two seasons he moved on to Nagoya Grampus, but after managing just 17 appearances over two seasons he signed with Kawasaki Frontale where he has since become first-choice goalkeeper.
In 2002 the shot-stopper got his first taste of international football with the Japan Under-20 team, but he would have to wait six years before picking up his first international cap, playing at the East Asian Football Championship in 2008.
