19 Takayuki Morimoto
Takayuki Morimoto first started playing professional football with Tokyo Verdy 1969 in 2004, helping the team to the Emperors Cup in his first season, as well as the Japanese Super Cup the next. After two seasons he penned a deal with Italian Serie A outfit Catania, and has since been tipped as one of the world’s hottest young talents.
Morimoto first represented his country at the Under-20 level at both the 2004 AFC Youth Championship and the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship. He was also part of the 2008 Olympic team, and he made his senior debut in October 2009, coming on as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Scotland.
