Wilson Palacios made his start in professional football with Olimpia in his native Honduras before moving to England with Birmingham City on loan and then completing a permanent deal with Wigan Athletic in 2008.
The Honduran international scored 32 goals in his five years with Olimpia and then quickly made a name for himself in English football following his arrival.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp signed Palacios for GBP14 million early in the 2009 January transfer window after he impressed in 37 league matches at the JJB. Palacios has played 68 matches for the Honduran national team, scoring four goals.
