2 Marcell Jansen
Marcell Jansen began playing professional football for his home-team club of Borussia Monchengladbach in 2004 before joining Bayern Munich in 2007, and eventually Hamburg, who he signed for in 2008.
He played his first international match for the Germany Under-21 team in 2004 and made four appearances before grabbing his first full cap in 2005 during the 2-0 defeat by Slovakia.
He has since helped the national team to third place in the 2005 Fifa Confederations Cup, as well as third place at the 2006 World Cup and runners-up at Euro 2008.
