Patrice Evra began his professional career with Marsala in Italy after ending his youth career at Paris Saint-Germain. He spent time at Monza, Nice and AS Monaco before joining up with Premier League side Manchester United in 2006.

After a horror debut which saw him being substituted at half-time, Evra settled into life at Old Trafford and has won numerous honours, including the 2008 Champions League Final against Chelsea. It was sweet justice for the man born in Senegal after being in the Monaco side that got drubbed 3-0 by Porto in the 2004 decider.

Evra missed out on all the junior national teams for France, but made his senior debut in 2004 and was a member of the Euro 2008 squad.
