3 Éric Abidal
Eric Abidal began his professional career at Monaco in 2000, before he moved to Lille and then Lyon.
In 2007 he signed with Spanish giants Barcelona, where he has enjoyed tremendous success, though he missed the 2009 Champions League Final success against Manchester United through suspension.
Abidal made his debut for the French national side on 18 August 2004, and played every minute of the 2006 FIFA World Cup, except for France’s match against Togo, for which he was suspended.
He is currently the second-choice left back to Patrice Evra of Manchester United.
