2 Christian Poulsen
Christian Poulsen's career started at local club Holbæk in 1997 before making a step up when he joined FC Copenhagen in 2000. He had a successful stint at Schalke 04, playing over 100 games between 2002 and 2006. The defensive midfielder joined Sevilla thereafter and moved on to Juventus in 2008.
Poulsen was named Denmark's Under-21 player of the year in 2001 before makin his debut for the senior side the same year. He also went on to be named Danish player of the year in 2005 and 2006.
