8 Jesper Gronkjaer
Jesper Grønkjær started his career at AaB in 1995, spending three seasons at the club before moving to Ajax for a short spell in 1998. In 2000 the winger became the most expensive Danish player when he was snapped up by Chelsea for GBP 7.5 million. He joined current club FC Copenhagen in 2006 from German side VfB Stuttgart.
Grønkjær worked his way through Denmark's youth sides, starting at Under-16 level, before breaking into the senior side in 1999. He has since become a crucial member of the Denmark team, making over 70 appearances.
