Adam Federici has yet to earn a cap for Australia, and there have even been rumors that he would be called into the Italy squad for the 2010 World Cup. That never came about, and he looks likely to be Australia's third choice goalkeeper.
Federici has had to wait a long time for his breakthrough into the Reading first team, and was loaned out on a number of times.
He eventually dislodged Marcus Hahnemann from the number one slot in the Reading goal and has been a regular ever since.
