Argentina

Argentina

There were a few nervy moments but Argentina clinched their 10th consecutive World Cup appearance with a 1-0 away victory in Uruguay, much to the delight and relief of coach Diego Maradona.

Winners twice before on home soil in 1978 and in Mexico eight years later, Argentina are always a force to be reckoned with, even if they have had to live in the shadow of their great rivals Brazil of late.

Expect skill, flair, petulance and brilliance from Maradona's side, who have to be considered title contenders.
