Itumeleng Khune
Khune was called up to the national squad before his first team debut for Kaizer Chiefs in May 2007.
He was squad member at the 2008 African Nations Cup finals in Ghana, but only made his debut in March 2008.
He was voted PSL Player’s Player of the Season and Goalkeeper of the Season at the end of his first campaign after taking over as Kaizer Chiefs’ first-choice goalkeeper in 2007/2008 season.
He played in all five matches in the 2009 Confederations Cup and played for South Africa’s Under-23 team in their unsuccessful 2008 Beijing Olympics qualifying campaign.
He joined Chiefs aged 13 as a defender, but was soon converted to a goalkeeper.
