The winger was a surprise selection for the 2006 African Nations Cup finals squad in his first season in the top-flight, but has since entrenched himself as a first-choice in the national side.
He played in two matches at the tournament in Egypt and also played twice at the 2008 finals in Ghana.
Tshabalala was relegated with Free State Stars from the PSL at the end of the 2005/06 season and signed by Kaizer Chiefs in January 2007.
He has a knack of scoring spectacular goals and is a set-piece specialist for both club and country.
