Itumeleng Khune will be ready for Kaizer Chiefs' first match of the year against Jomo Cosmos at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
Vladimir Vermezovic reveals to Amakhosi's official website that the goalkeeper has been doing well in Chiefs' mid-season break friendlies.
"[Khune] has already shown during a couple of practise matches that he will be ready when we play against Jomo Cosmos," 'VV' says. "He has been working very hard in training and I am satisfied with his progress."

Vermezovic also assures Chiefs fans that the club is focused and well prepared for the second half of the season.
"The first three games will be very important for us," the coach tells Chiefs website. "A good start is as important as finishing well. This also makes the last five games of the season very important, but we will take it one game at a time."
The Serbian says Chiefs will not be underestimating any opponent this year.
"Our focus now is on Jomo Cosmos in Port Elizabeth," he says. "They are not an easy side to play against and people should not even mention that they are on bottom of the League – that will count nothing when we meet come next Wednesday."
