Steven Pienaar sad to leave Tottenham Hotspur

'Mixed emotions' for Pienaar

Posted: 2012-02-01 15:02

Steven Pienaar says he has mixed emotions about leaving Tottenham Hotspur to rejoin Everton.

The Bafana Bafana midfielder sealed the loan deal just four minutes before the transfer window shut last night, ending an unhappy spell that has seen him play just seven games for the Londoners this season.

Pienaar was a fan favourite at Goodison Park during his initial three-year spell there, and while he is excited at the thought of going back, he is disappointed not to have made more of an impact at White Hart Lane.

“Mixed emotions 2 leave Spurs on loan 2 Everton. Disappointed I couldnt get in a playing groove on a regular basis&show the fans the real me,” he said on his Twitter account.

“Manager needs to make his choices, I understand, but I love playing & just can't sit so much on the bench. It was killing my spirit.

“Very thankful that Spurs management allowed me to go on loan and I'm very happy it could be to Everton, a club close to my heart.”

WE WARN YOU.

It 's like you went to White Hart Lane to collect a full bag of million pound and came back to Goodison Park again, Money doesn't make a person happy it can bring the joy but it can't last.

Apologised to the management for refusing to extend your contract when they need you most, You and Arterta decide to leave.

welcome back

Its a win win for you, you still get your big bucks and Everton will definately play you provided you stay injury free.
