Winds of change in Safa, PSL

The winds of change are expected to sweep through the ranks of Safa and the PSL in the next few weeks.
The talk is that that former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Mike Ntombela is set to be announced as new manager for Bafana Bafana.
Ntombela, who resigned from Adidas, was earlier linked with a return to Sundowns, but Kickoff.com has established that he is now set to take over as manager at Bafana.
‘Nana Take Me Home’ is tipped to replace Sipho Nkumane, who was suspended from national team duties for what Safa termed ‘incompetence’ in his work before the World Cup.
KickOff.com was unable to make contact with Safa presidential adviser Dennis Mumble, who stepped in and acted as Bafana manager during the World Cup in order to confirm the report.
Ntombela, however, confirmed that he has left Adidas, but added that he will only know his next destination in the next few weeks. “I am still weighing up a few options,” was all he would say.
Other reports are that Senzo Mazingiza is set to fill the vacancy left by former PSL general manager Ace Ngcobo, who resigned in November last year.
The PSL’s Chief Operations Officer, Professor Ronnie Schloss, has also indicated that he could be quitting in the near future, while the Board of Governors could also be looking for a new League chief executive as Kjetil Siem’s contract is about to expire.
