Bafana Bafana head coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has indicated that he has an idea who will be in his World Cup squad.

The Brazilian was speaking after watching his team, at a camp in Brazil, beat Boavista 3-0 on Tuesday in a practice match.

Parreira says he won't be playing too many players in their next match against Cruzeiro.

"The idea of using eleven different players for each half is two-fold. It was a chance to see as many players as I could and also because our players were not ready for a full 90-minute session after a hectic and shortened PSL season.

"But in the next match against Cruzeiro I am going to use one team for the match because we need to start narrowing down our team for the Fifa World Cup. I have an idea who they are and these remaining matches will give us some direction," he tells Safa.net.

Parreira added that he's so far satisfied with the progress made by the Bafana team during the camp.

"I must say so far the camp has been a success. The outcome has been very positive," he says.

"My keepers have not been tested, which means we are doing something right in defence," Parreira adds.

I think the squad is as follow, barring a few injuries:
Khune, Joseph, Baron, Mokoena, Booth, Sangweni/Morris, Khumalo/Gould(not both), Ncqoka,Masilela,Thwala/Gaxa(not both),Pienaar,KG,Sibaya,Teko,Shabba,Sturman,Van Heerden,Mcarthy,Mphela,Erasmus,Parker. The other two places are up for grabs & the contenders are Pattison,Khuboni,Henyekane&Klate.

Perreira should start with Mphela & Eramus upfront. Use Benni as an impact player. At the back Moon & Masilela should start as fullbacks. Gaxa ball control leaves much to desired. Teko should start on the bench. He has been under performing, and doesn't warrants himself a place in the starting line up. I would Sangweni to partner either Booth/Mokoena. In the starting line-up in midfield we should have Pienaar, Sibaya, Classen & Tshabalala (Youth & Experience).

Our striking force still gives me headache, I think we should consider bring back Nomvete to add pace up there. He has proven in the past few months that when he is fully fit he can still do the job.

Fortune
Nice one man,you are one of the few who understands SA soccer.
But i think may be Bongani Khumalo should make way for an experienced Morris.Schalkwyk.. mm!Between Khuboni & Dikgacoi one will have to make way for Lance Davids.Finish & Klaar.

while i somewhat agree with Fortune, i strongly agree with Samuel i am a very strong believer that Bhele with his current foam can real unsettle the Mexican defense and they know him from last time when we beat them, he was the driving strike force that dismantled them. In so doing thus living Bennie or Mphela free to finish
