Matthew Booth says both the Bafana Bafana management and players have been delighted with their progress at the camp in Brazil so far.

The South Africans played their third match last night, beating Rio side Boavista 3-0 courtesy of goals from Siphiwe Tshabalala, Lebo Mokoena and Kermit Erasmus.

“The lads played very well,” he tells KickOff.com. “We kept our discipline and were dangerous up-front, and we still haven’t conceded after three games. The coaching staff seems to be more than happy with our progress.

“Tomorrow we fly off to Bella Horizonte to prepare for the first really tough one, against Cruzeiro.”

Booth says they have been helped in the preparations by the friendliness of the people in the country.

“The lads are keeping in touch with family through Skype and are making use of the wifi at the base. We are also being helped a great deal by the SA consulate; it puts our minds at ease when in a foreign country.”

* Look out for more updates from Matthew Booth in the coming days.

S\'busiso: 2010-03-16 14:45

That's gud 2 hear.2 Tshabalala big up boy.

Chichiboy: 2010-03-16 14:51

Im starting to doubt these results, not being negative but rather because, they winning convincingly against Brazilian sides which, according to Perreira will be good teams to prepare Bafana as they are good. So how come Bafana beat them so convincingly and yet they failed against Namibia and the likes. I smell something... FIXED MATCHES TO GET US BEHIND THEM AND THEY WILL HANDLE THE DISSAPOINTMENT AFTERWARDS AS LONG AS THE COUNRTY WAS BEHIND THEM, THE REST DONT MATTER! GOOD PR!

Actually Manzini has been injured for the past season! And Booth has played the last 10 games at Downs after being injured...
What we need on this forum are people who actually watch football, criticize constructively and who know their facts...
