Bafana Bafana arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at 10h00 this morning (15h00 SA time) and will start their first training session at 15h00 (20h00 SA time) and kickOff.com caught up with midfielder Lance Davids, 45 minutes after the team arrived in their camp.

KickOff.com: How is Brazil so far?
Lance Davids: We have just arrived now and I’m feeling like a zombie. But otherwise everything is fine and everyone is excited to be here. And I’m looking forward to the first training session.

KickOff.com: When is the first session?
Davids: It starts this afternoon at 15h00. We are here to work and that is what we will do.

KickOff.com: What do you think of the facilities there?
Davids: World class! It’s a good place to camp in you can focus and concentrate on your work very easy. I’m really impressed because this is a fantastic place and we have everything that we need in one place.

KickOff.com: What did Carlos Alberto Parreira say upon your arrival?
Davids: He told us that ‘work starts now and we don’t have any time to waste’. Those were his exact words and I guess that is what we will do.

KickOff.com: Thanks a lot for your time and good luck with the camp?
Davids: Thanks a lot I really appreciate.

Zola Doda
