If only we excercise a little
patient with siasia, Super
eagles would have been a
team to beat in the nearest
future. First round of
qualification for 2013 afcon
is two months away from
now and nigeria is yet to
have a coach... Not even a
team and you expect to
qualify? Hmmn only time will
tell...

BBC is shouting that Nigeria is handed a tough draw because we face Rwanda in our elimination match for the 20134 nations cup, what a sorry state our football has degenerated to? I am beginning to truly feel the heat of this abysmal descent that Siasia led us to.

uzochi: 2011-10-29 18:46

Now that they have fired SIASIA and have a new coach, lets see if the new organization will continue to play siasia boys( joel obi, ujah, and all the other young boys he has introduced to the senior level and those he recommended for the U-20 team.) lets also see if there will be NEW players willing to SWITCH to nigeria ( Victor Moses, Sidney Sam, and such) who were much closer to switching to nigeria with siasia than today.
Finally, lets also see if we will go back to players showing up late, and playing 1-0 wins that have you having a heart attach everytime.
WE ARE ALL WITNESSES.

uzochi: 2011-10-29 18:47

By the way, yes, SIASIA is not bigger than Nigeria and our game must live on. But i hope for our sake (we the actual fans not the money mongers in the NFF and political offices) that we made the right decision and our game moves forward and not backwards.

siasia's formulas has so downgraded our team that even his very own fans are having a damn scare and fidgeting on nigeria's pairing with a cheeky rwanda what a shame. nigeria anyday should whitewash rwanda so c'mon my people shake it off and BELIEVE.

igiiwe1: 2011-10-29 21:05

well well well, i aint surprise at all about the sacking of sam the seer cos we all saw it coming. There have being many reasonS which have filter in for reasons he was fired ( 1.he did share the N5 million with some insiders in the FA..2,many of his peers at the ACN 94 squad are broke ass and wanted his job badly...3, some less than average players with ego problem wanted to show him that they can get him fired..4,some of the FA officials are upset cos they will miss the money shared by CAF for qualifying teams to next year ACN).

In 1992,denmark would have fired the coach for not qualifying the team for euro 92 (denmark was recalled as the second runner up and ended up winning the trophy after russia withdrew), but they were patient enough to give him a second chance, portugal should have sack the coach after they lost to denmark by 2-0 in the present euro 2012 which will make them go to play off (first time in their history), france should have fire the coach after losing to belarus in paris or even fire his A.S.S after securing draw with bosnia and hazagovenia (though that was enough for them to go through), capelo should have being fired by English FA for the dismal performance at the world cup,Germany should have also fire the coach for not winning the world cup and i guess spain should have fired the present coach for losing to united states in the semi final of the confederation cup (there are many more examples). You guys in Nigeria always look for quick fix which his why u go to church to look for miracles and become fatefools (sorry, i meant to write faithfuls) but at the end ur pastor fly in private jets, have fat accounts, built universities with ur tithe and offerings yet the fees in these schools are so exurbitant that ur kids cant afford to attend such school even when it it obvious that ur tithes and offering are used to build the schools(i know some people will say am a crazy dude who dont respect men of God but all these are true but contrary opinions are always welcome).

I had being told many times by different Nigerians i came across since the non qualification that siasia sack is sufficient and he is not experience enough for the job (even daniel amokachi claimed to be more experience that him) but these are same people who praised him to the high heavens during fifa 2005 and the olympics 2008.

One of the reason given for his inexperience was that he didnt do well in egypt 2009 but i have asked them how long to the competetion did he took the job? (3 months before the start,i may be wrong) and the heartland team(u expect a miracle from a many who does not have information about his opponents).

Many of the people in ur glass house have no business being in that place in the first place(the election was a shamble,250k dollars got missing, fight over NPL chairmanship) and i guess samson the seer was only sacrified to cover there own incompetences(cos all the other age group team have failed so far and i guess it was samson's fault too).

Be that as it may, this is the sort of things only happens where lunatics run the business of a sane people, where football has become a politicall tools in which people tribalise issues, where people think only about money they will steal or GLO contract fee to be shared.I still wonder why the government is still involve in the running of football in Nigeria today, why they still refused to abolish decree 101,why a politician must always be the head of the FA.

Some people said FA should go beg amodu cos he qualified the team 2ce to the world cup (actualy it was once cos if tunisia had done their job very well in maputo, the story will be different and also the goal that 'amokachi imitation' guy scored was a total offside),some even went as far as saying some prophet predicted Nigeria will not qualify(i did watch the video but what he said was that, who ever scored first will win the match but the match ended in a draw!!!!). It is only in Nigeria that people inter-lock religion with football(i wonder how many people went to the synagog in 1994 to ask for prediction) when they refused to do what must be done to succeed. Many Nigerians are so addicted to the bronze medal that they prefer to go win the bronze than fail to qualify and refire for the next competition.

If what i read is correct that the job is given to keshi as stand in coach and oliseh as the deputy, all i will say is this:

1) an average of 3 goals per match
2) No draw is expected from them but a win at all time
3) The team is not expected to lose any of the first 8 matches
4) do not conceed more that 1 goal per match.

i know these are difficult tasks given the fact that the draws are out already and the New men have just 3 months to prepare the team, though i do not doubt the competency of mr keshi but i do hope ill be back here one day to apologise to all the who asked for siasia's sack that i am wrong but i know something here in europe that many of the people have which is called PATIENT(FOR IT IS VIRTUE).

And for those people calling a foreign coach, ill say this: The only foreign coaches that will come to Nigeria now are the hungry ones that need quick money cos no serious minded coach will like to be associated with stupid set of people like the NFF so as not to rubbish his own career.

I REMAIN A MYSTERY....................EVEN TO MYSELF

Temi: 2011-10-29 21:15

We shall see !!! I doubt if we will be able to beat any team in Africa. Now they sack Siasia, So what is the NFF chairman doing ? He should be ashamed and resign immediately. As people who hates Siasia have done in this forum , so shall i be and do to whoever puppet they bring in to coach the eagles.WE SHALL SEE !!!

Segun: 2011-10-29 21:32

@igiiwe1, you said it all. Except the job is not given to a coaching team involving Oliseh should your recommendations not apply. He is a great critic and it is good. He never sees anything good and never saw anything good in the last ten months. He only saw the negative. He wants Nigeria to go back to the grassroot but I am not sure if the Super Eagles is now the grassroot. We have to keep on supporting the team as we still remain Nigerians but should the job go to the critics who have always criticized maliciously, we should win by a margin of 3 goals always, that leaky defense must be fixed by the time we get to the second round of ANC qualifier (hopefully), no loss or draw will be tolerated especially against the so-called 'minnows'. It is easy to criticize but difficult to implement.

I am a Christian but we have to come out and separate authenticity from fake. This issue of combining religion with sport is becoming unbearable. I learnt Green was in Synagogue. For what reason? To appease god or God? It is time to start doing the right thing and stop this joke of running after miracles. Instead of reading the rule book before the last match, they were busy looking for prophets who will pray for the team. I wonder how many of the players are believers. I remember saying it the last time during the debate of the prediction of the Guinea-Nigeria match that I will not be surprised to learn that the death of Steve Job was predicted and just today I stumbled on the video: a hero in US will die. US is different from Nigeria. He may be an IT icon but nobody worship anybody as we do in Nigeria, who said he is an hero - vague prophecy at best. Giving out vague prophecies to entice unsuspecting people must stop. I will not keep quiet until this joke stops in Christianity because I belong to the fold. I know that people will start quoting 'touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm'. It is just an abuse of bible verse. Jesus was an intelligent preacher who does not run away from critics. He got people with different views to his fold through his brilliance. It is different from what we have today that bodyguards secure the church as if God is not able. Nobody can interview or question them, they are all in all. I will keep quiet at this moment but you can watch this brilliant piece from Seyi Rhodes and decide if it is not yet time to start speaking up. It is part of the problem afflicting the country.

Kolawole1: 2011-10-30 00:21

@Philosopher:

Why we no go fear? When we had to rely on an injury time goal to earn a draw against ordinary Ethiopia under your 'world class' Siasia.

I remember Rwanda playing us to a 1-1 draw in Kigali in the Germany 2006 world cup qualifiers. They also lost by a lone goal to Angola when all they needed to do was secure a draw to allow the Super Eagles progress after whitewashing Zimbabwe 5-1. Rwanda is NOT ateam ready for the taking amigo. We have to prepare well.

Henk ten Cate/Milovan Rajevac for the Super Eagles

Kolawole1: 2011-10-30 00:23

@GHANA4U

I agree this is an ALL TIME LOW for us. Such a pity. Siasia is an a.s.shole

Kolawole1: 2011-10-30 00:50

what type of precedence will set by allowing siasia who failed all parts of his contract to continue in his job? if he qualified but messed up at the tournament proper then you can have basis for argument but if he cant qualify in a group made up of guinea, ethiopia, and madagacar, what do you expect? he was not signed mainly to build a team but to qualify and reach the semi final. but he failed. so whether he is liked or not is not the issue. He read the contract b4 signing. if u allow him to stay what will happen in the future will be bad because it will serve as a reference. so get over it.

luise-hero: 2011-10-30 00:57

@igiiwe1
I can see you are hurting and bitter Siasia lost his job. Go and see a counselor and you will be fine.
Don't come and pour your frustration here. Who made the selections for Sia1 , was it the old players of 1994 ? The guy was given a standard and he failed to meet them so stop ranting. Have an early nap, byeeeee Siasia is not the only coach with brains.

Mega: 2011-10-30 03:48

SHAME BIG BIG SHAME!!! GLORY HUNTER& SCAVENGER attitude will keep regressing our football.Disgusting!!!

The same guy who pressured for Siasia to get this job and fought Amodu with all his might is now calling Siasia an as.s hole(his words not mine) For him,Siasia was the best 9months ago, now the same Siasia is trash.
See him campaigning again for another Rajevac guy. And when the man looses a match, he will automatically turn into "butt head".
This is why our football will never progress. "Scavenger philosophy".
Some people are just not worthy.
Sia1 is gone, let's move on. NFF loves recycling coaches. it's only a matter of time.
BTW congrats to all the Gunnerzz for the Chelsea trashing. All those sugar daddy mone money clubs will fall. They are corrupting the good game.
Ken G I'll hit ya on skype.

Peace

@Bob....A very wise man once said, “it is better to let people think you are stupid than to open your mouth and prove you are stupid because everybody has a photographic memory, some people just don’t have film”. I am not like a baby who whines over split milk cos the deed had being done but coming here to write rubbish without reading my comment between the lines shows ur level of intellengence is below the low. People in ur FA board are just like idiot who said "An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but they snapped a tooth eating it so they had to see a dentist instead"(I HOPE U ARE SMART ENOUGH TO INTERPRET THAT STATEMENT). I was expecting some bunch of no brainer like u to insult me based on what i wrote but with a contrary views, based on facts, of which you didnt write any other than siasia chose his own players(which i totally agree with). But u forgot that those guys u called ur proffessionals are mostly less than average guys who needs a hell lot of work to gel together (but i guess u know next to nothing about most of ur so called stars who mostly do not command regular shirt in their lowly rated clubs).

Siasia is gone but i hope his replacement will do a better job and convince me that he is the better option, there and then will i come here to apologise to u guys for my wrong words.

I sure bet u will wake up this morning to go pay ur dues to ur pastor in church so he can feed fat on ur ignoramus,so off u go and dont forget to pray for the "SUPER EAGLES" to win all their matches so as to win the 2013 ACN and also ask ur pastor what is the prediction of the next match.

Here is something for u to smile about while u go to church

A first-grade teacher, Ms. Brooks, was having trouble with one of her students. The teacher asked, "Harry, what's your problem?"

Harry answered, "I'm too smart for the 1st grade. My sister is in the 3rd grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the 3rd grade too!"

Ms. Brooks had had enough. She took Harry to the principal's office.

While Harry waited in the outer office, the teacher explained to the principal what the situation was. The principal told Ms. Brooks he would give the boy a test. If he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the 1st grade and behave. She agreed.

Harry was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test.

Principal: "What is 3 x 3?"

Harry: "9."

Principal: "What is 6 x 6?"

Harry: "36."

And so it went with every question the principal thought a 3rd grader should know.

The principal looks at Ms. Brooks and tells her, "I think Harry can go to the 3rd grade"

Ms. Brooks says to the principal, "Let me ask him some questions."

The principal and Harry both agreed.

Ms. Brooks asks, "What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?"

Harry, after a moment: "Legs."

Ms. Brooks: "What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?"

The principal wondered why would she ask such a question!

Harry replied: "Pockets."

Ms. Brooks: "What does a dog do that a man steps into?"

Harry: "Pants."

Ms. Brooks: What starts with a C, ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin, whitish liquid?"

Harry: "Coconut."

The principal sat forward with his mouth hanging open.

Ms. Brooks: "What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?"

The principal's eyes opened really wide and before he could stop the answer, Harry replied, "Bubble gum."

Ms. Brooks: "What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs?"

Harry: "Shake hands."

The principal was trembling.

Ms. Brooks: "What word starts with an 'F' and ends in 'K' that means a lot of heat and excitement?"

Harry: "Firetruck."

The principal breathed a sigh of relief and told the teacher, "Put Harry in the fifth-grade, I got the last seven questions wrong.

have a nice day

@Mr Kolawale

Our majar problem in this country is that we so much belief in immediate results without adequate preparation.... We want to win all tournaments at all cost and thats why we keep sacking our coaches whenever they failed to meet up with the so called content of contract with the nff. Which assurance do you have that the foreign coach you are clamouring for will qualify or even win the 2013 afcon cup? What happend to mr Lars Lagerback when you brought him to win the 2010 wc! Amodu would have even qualify frm that group.

Belief me, Nigeria is a confused country!.

From their performance,it looks encouraging only if they keep it going that way, but then again, the most important thing in the round leather game is one STATISTICS...'Number of goals'
