Fabregas - Dedicates win to family

Posted: 2010-07-12 07:09

Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas has declared that the win over Netherlands and resulting 2010 World Cup glory has made up for the fact that he did not feature more prominently during the tournament.

Fabregas was influential for la Furia Roja after coming off the bench and provided the assist for Andres Iniesta to score and hand them their first ever World Cup triumph and now the Arsenal captain has set his sights on further glory at the European championships in 2012.

"It is an historic moment which we do not know if it will ever be repeated," he said, as quoted by AS.

"I dedicate the win to my whole family. I was a bit down because I had not played much and did not want it to be like that, but in the end it was worth it."

The 23-year-old praised the Spain fans before eyeing glory and a Euro title defence in Poland and Ukraine.

"Thank you to the fans, they are the best. We have not noticed all of our supporters that much, but we know from family and friends. I hope that in two years we have another joy," he added.

Really a silly comment from Mongo. How can you possible call a world champion a dog. How do that relate to the article. Fabregas is a genius. If you any other problem address it in the right channel and I really doubt if you should have.

I was drawn between my heart and my head for the final. My heart was actually with Holland while my head went for SPain. My heart was with holland out of sympathy having been in the final twice in the past, i hoped they would be third time lucky this time around. COnsidering that had also won all their matches in the build up to the final, I felt it would be harsh to now loose in the final.
My Head was for Spain also considering that they were the european champions, and had plated good football so far despite always winning by the odd goal.

At the end my head prevailed and Spain Won. I was happy in the end because Fabregas was involved and provided the assist for the winning goal.
It was a joy to see two ****nal players in the finals and in the end at least one of them was champion.

Hey @mega and all gunners in the house, bravo to our captain and lets hope this victory will make him stay behind.

THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH
