Luis Felipe Scolari set to replace Dunga

Dunga quits after Dutch defeat

Posted: 2010-07-03 14:56

In the wake of Brazil’s exit from the World Cup, coach Dunga has resigned amidst reports that his regimented ways left his players frustrated, nervous and unable to cope under pressure.

His tension from the bench contaminated players on the pitch and after their surprise defeat at the hands of the Netherlands, Dunga had no alternative but to quit.

Luiz Felipe Scolari, the man who led the five-time champions to glory in 2002, is top of the list to replace him.

Brazilian media says that CBF president Ricardo Teixeira is the sole person set to make the decision as to who will replace the former 1994 World Cup-winning captain, but due to his contractual obligations with Palmeiras it could take some time before a replacement is made.

Meanwhile, the team could also be looking for a new doctor after Jose Luiz Runca failed to diagnose the extent of Elano’s injury against Ivory Coast.

The doctor didn’t want to do a detailed examination at hospital, even though the player thought he’d broken his leg and kept telling the coach he was recovering.

Dunga’s fury rubbed off onto his star midfielder Kaka, who was red carded in the same game and also lost his cool during an interview, but he accepts the blame for his country’s early exit.

“Millions of people wanted the title, including myself,” he told the Brazilian press. “I know there are a lot of sad people but there isn’t a sadder group than us. It’s too late to blame someone, I was one of the leaders and there are others like the squad of twenty two and the coach who are all guilty.”

That is what a honorable coach does after failure, not like shameless lagerback and his blind supporters who are still bent on ripping Nigerians off.

Ronaldihno is better than some of these players that were selected by Dunga. Ronaldihno was in form before end of the season in Italy but because of this useless, inexperienced, sturbbon, pathetic coach with a lousy pride ignored Ronaldihno. Nxa !

this guy is better than Carlos Perreira, when he took Bafana he said he's going to build for 2010, AFCON will be his platform to test the player's readiness, he failled to qualify for the AFCON, he ran away, brought his bro in law, we went for him he said after the Columbia game we are ready to go the second round, for columbia play like Mexico, we did not win against Mexico, he said in all the times he played against Uruguay, Folan used to score against Brasil, and he did not bring someone to mark him, after failling to take the team to the second round the group was tough, but we all knew that the gorup is tough, we were not even thinking of a point against France but the south americans thats how we prepared for this cup to difeat the south americans
