Bomb scare at Cape Town Stadium

Bomb scare at CT Stadium

Posted: 2010-05-21 12:44

Police sniffer dogs are currently searching the new Cape Town Stadium after a call was made to suggest a bomb has been planted at the 2010 World Cup venue.

As things stand the authorities are still conducting their search and have not found any indication of a bomb as yet.

“Our operational people are going through the stadium. We will not release any further information at this time. The results of our search will be given later,” Police spokesman Andre Traut told KickOff.com.

Cape Town had two bomb scares during the 2010 World Cup Draw in December, both of which turned out to be hoaxes.

The first was made on the international airport, while the second was made by a German photographer living in Cape Town, who claimed to have a bomb in his bag as he tried to intern the International Convention Centre where the Draw was held.

I think its HIGH time we adopt a mad uncle Bob's robust style of dealing with our enermies and we know that they are here in SA with their dual citizenships.

We need to be extremely rough with them. How come during the rugby and cricket world cups...we have never heard about these bomb threats.

During the Caster Semenya controverse, the foreigners kept on telling us that they are getting all the information from SA. The girl's sin was that as a black he outran the 'baas' girls.

I m fed-up about these imperialists parading as South Africans. Mr General hunt them down , arrest them and torture them.Looks like the language they understand is VIOLENCE!!!!!!!

These haters will never accept we are a happily growing nation. Pure envy is what make the behave in such a manner. Our God shall protect anyone who support good work such as the World Cup. Whoever has faith in him shall live happily in his presence. Thank you Lord for taking good care of us and our visitors. May your Holly Name be praised.

I can bet that this is a western plot to discredit Africa. Well, it will come to nothing. They were jealous of China when the olympics was held successfully and now some clown wants to spoil the world cup. It would not work. One love South Africa. All the best in the hosting.
