Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has named his squad to meet Belo Horizonte giants Cruzeiro at the Mineirão Stadium later today.
According the Brazilian media, the South African team for the match that will be televised nationally in Brazil by Globo International TV is: Itumeleng Khune; Siboniso Gaxa, Bongani Khumalo, Siyabonga Sangweni, Innocent Mdledle; Lance Davids, Thanduyise Khuboni, Teko Modise, Siphiwe Tshabalala; Thulasizwe Mbuyane; Katlego Mphela.
Coach Adilson Batista has named Fábio, Jonathan, Leonardo Silva, Caçapa, Diego Renan; Henrique, Marquinhos Paraná, Pedro Ken e Roger; Kléber and Thiago Ribeiro for the club.
According to the club, arrangements have been made for those South African players who do not feature today to play against Cruzeiro’s reserve side tomorrow.
Today’s match against Bafana Bafana will end a drought of 27 years since Cruzeiro last played against a country’s national team. They last played against Honduras in 1983.
