Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira announces his 29-man squad for the national team's camp in Brazil.

The team leaves on Sunday for a specialised training camp, that will see them later participate in friendly matches ahead of the World Cup in June.

The players are:

Goalkeepers - Emille Baron, Itumeleng Khune, Moneeb Josephs

Defenders – Matthew Booth, Lucas Thwala, Siyanda Xulu, Siyabonga Sangweni, Siboniso Gaxa, Bongani Khumalo, Innocent Mdledle

Midfielders – Teko Modise, Surprise Moriri, Gert Schalkwyk, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Thanduyise Khuboni, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Lance Davids, Lebohang Mokoena, Tlou Segolela, Kermit Erasmus, Daine Klate, Andile Jali, Franklin Cale, Daylon Claasens, Thulasizwe Mbunyane, Thabo Nthethe

Strikers - Richard Henyekane, Katlego Mphela, Thulani Serero,

He is truly a Chiefs product and as for Sundowns having so many players in the squad it shows that Perreira is confused. It is only Mphela and Lebo Mokoena who deserve a call to the camp. Perreira has proved that he is not up to the challenge of coaching Bafana Bafana in June World Cup here at home. This is apparent with his team selection 98 days before the World Cup. In my opinion he should be selecting his final team for the camp rather than an experimental team for the camp. He is going to do worse than Joel Santana did at the Confed Cup.

It is difficult to understand how we can support our national team when we have this apparent bias in the selection. Mark Haskins has been consistent and bettered last seasons performance, HE IS THE SECOND HIGHEST MIDFIELLDER THIS SEASEN, WITH 7 LEAGUE GOALS, MORE GOALS THEN SOME OF STRIKERS IN THE SQUAD, and YET not as much as a mention of his name. We fired blanks last night because the squad lacked the prowess to perform. The squad is the pride of the NATION, not a few conceited indivuduals. Select the best we have to make the NATION proud. HASKINS DESERVES A PLACE IN THE SQUAD PERIOD.

Our job is to support the guys. Cause if we start a debate of who should be included, we will never come to a conclusion, Sa****ay David Hadebe might score 5 goals, and you’ll be singing praises for him, Perreira should call Hadebe to the squad.

Instead of coming up with our own squad, lets rather try to point out and highlight weaknesses’ and strengths of the current players, rather tell us what Tshabalala need to do regain his form, what Khune needs to do to defend set pieces, what Mbazo needs to do to avoid silly mistakes, how Segolelo shoud use his speed at his advantage.

I agree with u 120%, with 3 months to go , 'thatha-ma-million' should be selecting the final squad with a few spaces for the overseas based club.

The coach looks like he doesnt have a plan for the world-cup....he is just fooling around. He doesnt even tell the nation whether he is aiming for the first round, last 16 or the semis! He has however been bold to tell us that Brazil(his native country and his camp site) will win it.

My only concern is weather condition in Brazil. Remember we will be playing the World Cup in cold June. Is it cold there in Brazil at the moment or not? It's safe to say that Moeneeb, Itu & Baron will make the final squad of 23 for the World Cup, which Leaves 20 spots left. Add in the overseas players such as; 1.Mokoena, 2.Pienaar, 3.Benni, 4.Sibaya, 5.Van Heerden, 6.Kagiso, 7.Morris, 8.Moon, 9.Masilela, 10.Parker & 11.Ngconga

That leaves 9 spots left take Mphela out then its 8 spots that these 25 players are fighting for? yhoo it's going to be tough. Good Luck to all the players & you will all come back better footballers no matter what.

hehehe!!what is Teko Modise,Gert Schalkwyk,Supprise Moriri and THulasizwe Mbuyane doing there!!!especialy Moriri..this selection is based on History, the guy did not feature for his downs team the whole season...ok why not include Jabu Mahlangu and Benson Mohlongo thenif thats how u select ur squad
