The Fifa World Cup Ticketing Sub-Committee will open a call centre today (Monday) to assist soccer fans who want buy tickets for the 2010 World Cup.

Horst Schmidt, chairman of the Fifa World Cup Ticketing Sub-Committee, said the call centre will operate from 10h30 until 19h30.

“The fans understand that time is crucial now, as the tickets are allocated on a first come first served basis and that they should not wait for the last minute over-the-counter sales,” he said.

The call centre will use South African number 083 123 2010 as well as international number +41 44583 2010.

Schmidt said the first 100 hours of the 4th ticket sales phase had already seen a total of 74 146 tickets being sold, while an additional 130 000 applications were still being processed.

However, the confirmations are expected to be sent by the beginning of this week. This second-last sales phase which kicked-off on February 9 will run until April 7.

“We have already had more than 200 000 tickets requested within 100 hours, a number we are truly happy with,” he said.

@KON. sorry, this is no news. it is very irrelivent to us. You should be camping at the glass house or at the homes of the NFF officals demanding answers on what is happening with the recruitment of of the Super eagles TA or that the whole nation wants sisisa to take the job. why is he not been considered.

we are all clamouring for him to take charge, we are aslo eager to know why he is not getting a mention.
or have they fallen out with siasia, Oliseh and other capable candidates for this job.

You can also ask them why NFF is pick a team to play friendly.

Get some story going, you are a football site.

Siasia siasia, no be this same siasia disgraced us in the under 21 and we say the time was too short. Has the time chnaged now?

We never learn. We shouted and abused our under 21 coach and clamoured for his sack.....which led to NFF sacking him and bring in our dear Siasia....what did we get??? Our worst performance. What was your excuse...time was too short. Now again NFF has listened to us and sack Amodu. We did not remember timing again. We are again calling for that same Siasia. LOL.
