TS Galaxy has completed the signing of highly-rated striker Thokozani Sibanyoni from Middelburg United in the Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe League.

Sibanyoni was spotted by Galaxy during the Pirates Cup Under-21 tournament held in Johannesburg during the Easter Holidays.

The 20-year-old striker appeared as a guest player for eMalahleni United who finished third position in the tournament. Sibanyoni went home with the top goal scorer award after netting nine goals during the tournament.

According to a source close to eMalahleni United, exciting midfielder Sibusiso Tau could also be heading to Gauteng to join Orlando Pirates next season after also making a great impression during the Pirates Cup tournament this year.

“It's not only Tau that has attracted the attention of scouts in Gauteng. There are also two other youngsters Msongelwa Motau and Akhiwe Mncube that have been approached by teams in Gauteng,” said the source.

“This is good news for Witbank. Percy Tau has set up the standards. There is more talent in Witbank and eMalahleni United has invested so much to give opportunity and expose more young talent from the area,” he added.

Innocent Maela, Given Thabedi, and Jabulani Shongwe are some of the PSL players who hail from Witbank, while former Orlando Pirates midfielder Dumisa Ngobe and former Kaizer Chiefs midfield Frank Makua are still active in social games in eMalahleni.
